I am getting excited for a few things

C for Counted Cross Stitch

This post is being brought you by the A counted cross stitch quilt.
This was one on those quilts that was made from a kit with the panels done in counted cross stitch and those lovely blue dots to quilt by.
At first I thought NO Way am I going to follow those ^&*(# dots......but after pondering and thinking and testing and thinking and staring (yes, a lot of that stand and stare was going on) I re-considered and decided to do just that.  The cross hatching was almost 3 inches apart so everything went much faster than normal (my cross-hatching is usually 1 inch), and darn if I just couldn't talk myself into putting a pantograph on it.
So enough delays, here she is

Where Has time gone

I went off to visit Branson Missouri with my Mom. My friend Kelly and her Mom joined us.  It was a week full of Music, picture perfect weather and fun !

I did manage to find 2 quilt shops for Quilters in the area.  I did drop a few dollars at The Quilted Cow
Of course you come back and need to unpack and play catch up.....next my co-worker at my day job went off on her vacation.  Now it's back to normal....thank god.

Here are some pictures of the quilts that have been coming off my machine

Is it spring yet

I have been not very patiently waiting for spring......and it just keeps hiding. But I do think she has finally arrived.

A few weeks ago, I did attend my guilds show (Amoskeag Quilters Guild), to my surprise I got a ribbon for my monsters quilt and one of my customers (Jan White) also got a ribbon for a quilt she gave me the honor of quilting

At Least I have been quilting....

Next was MQX and my time to get educated.  This year modern quilts and my quilting software are on the curriculum along with a class by Kim Taber Stotsenberg.

Now to put it all together.

Some quilts went to market and others for fun.  Please check back in the gallery for pictures

Tonight, Tonight

A few nights ago (March 11th) I attend the NH Modern Quilt Guild Meeting.  I was just a tad antsy to be able to hand over a quilt I have had the honor of being able to put my creative spin on.
The piecer and designer of this is Linda Pearl, owner of The Patchwork Pearl.

I do need to give credit to Lisa Calle of Stone House Quilting for her Divide and Design technique.

AAHHHHHH

Yesterday, It finally hit me.  I have to teach a class at one of my guild's on Saturday! and I have to get  (6 more quilts done ) before Christmas. AHHHHH
And I have to get all the candy and chocolates made for Thanksgiving AHHHHH
And I have to get the Christmas presents in the mail by the first week of December AHHHH
And need I go on?

I am prepared for teaching at my guild.  All the patterns are printed, the design boards are done.  I even have volunteer staff to assist me.
I just that nervousness of not having the set up solid in my head and  having not done a workshop in over a year.  All will be fine.

The six more quilts is actually right on track.  I just have to remember to breathe...and all will be fine

Here are few that came of the machine last week
