Tonight, Tonight

A few nights ago (March 11th) I attend the NH Modern Quilt Guild Meeting.  I was just a tad antsy to be able to hand over a quilt I have had the honor of being able to put my creative spin on.
The piecer and designer of this is Linda Pearl, owner of The Patchwork Pearl.

I do need to give credit to Lisa Calle of Stone House Quilting for her Divide and Design technique.

Bad Blogger AGAIN

What can I say.....All the quilting that I have been doing I am not able to show off. And this is typically my slow time, where I get to do some piecing and some reading by the woodstove.
I usually go off to Quilt Camp, and honestly I did make it there......for about 1 1/2 days.....then I started to get a cold and feel icky....so home I went.  I am at the point where I figure it's time for me to just through in the towel on retreats in February. I always seem to get sick before, during or after.....at least for the last several years. :(
Today I finally figured out how to upload photos to Pinterest. Pinterest and I have a love/hate relationship. I love the inspiration but hate the time suck !

on to the quilts

BRRR Baby it's Cold

It has definitely been cold here in New Hampshire!  The brief January thaw got me wishing for an early spring; but the next week we got snow back with wind and chill.  January - February  is typically a slow time for me, so I have been enjoying the time doing a few quilts out of my bins of tops to quilt and reading some by my woodstove; and tomorrow I am off to Quilt Camp with my friends for Heritage Quilters Guild.  Last year we got snowed it, this is beginning to look like a tradition :)

The Start of the New Year

I know, I know January is 3/4 of the way over and I am just getting started..... Ready for the excuses

1.  I have been quilting just for my family
2. The January thaw brought WATER in my basement; which is were my long arm quilting studio is

SO.   Today is contractor day!

Any minute now the wonderful people from Basement Systems of NH will be arriving to install a pump system so my flooded basement is no longer a worry.

Now to what you all want to see recent quilts

Now that all my quilts for customers and family are done.  I can take a minute to rest, relax and have a little bit of fun.

Most of all I want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year!

AAHHHHHH

Yesterday, It finally hit me.  I have to teach a class at one of my guild's on Saturday! and I have to get  (6 more quilts done ) before Christmas. AHHHHH
And I have to get all the candy and chocolates made for Thanksgiving AHHHHH
And I have to get the Christmas presents in the mail by the first week of December AHHHH
And need I go on?

I am prepared for teaching at my guild.  All the patterns are printed, the design boards are done.  I even have volunteer staff to assist me.
I just that nervousness of not having the set up solid in my head and  having not done a workshop in over a year.  All will be fine.

The six more quilts is actually right on track.  I just have to remember to breathe...and all will be fine

Here are few that came of the machine last week
