October

Where did my summer go!  At least things are getting more organized in the sewing quilting land. Fall comes, the colors start to change and things get cozy again.  I have been busy quilting up a storm.....
without further ado

off the machine

Okay, I admit it, I am not being very consistent at this.  So pick your acceptable excuse and enter it in the following pharse:

"Please accept my apologies for ignoring you. (pick your acceptable excuse now from below).

  1.  I have been busy quilting. I promise to try to improve."
  2.  I went to visit my garndson and got a summer cold.  I promise to try to improve."
  3.  I was abducted by the quilt police and they took my brain out and put sawdust in its place. I promise to try to improve."

Ok, that is done.  Now here a few quilts that have come off the machine in the last couple of weeks

See I haven't been a slug, just busy quilting.  :-)

Strip Club

A few years ago, I led Strip Club at my local quilt shop. Regretfully, this shop has closed their doors and now we only see her online and at quilt shows.  So my jelly rolls and have been sitting on the shelf without any inspiration and just being fondled.

Skip ahead to a a few months ago when I began taking at Block of the Month Class from Chris Poor of Poor House Quilt Designs .  It has been great fun and a good way for me to connect with old faces and meet some new faces.  One of my classmates (and fellow guild member)  have been speaking with the owner about some workshops that I have team led and my past "stripper" status. (lol)... So, to get to the point...it begins again!!

Strip Club will  be starting on August 4th at 10 am.

Please join me at Bits 'n Pieces Quilt Shop and plan to have fun.  After all, my jelly rolls are lonely and need to be quilts, don't yours need to be too?

I am very excited to start this adventure and hope to see you there.

quilt tops and piecing

Remember back when I was asking about a color arrangement of black to white fabrics???

Here is one of the two tops that they ended up in

No, the red block is not a mistake, my friend, Kelly, wanted a red block in this one!

And I like it.

off the quilting machine

I guess you can say I have been busy, but I promise this is truly my passion and joy.

Marie's quilt was wonderfully pieced and a joy to quilt !

I've also finished Kelly's Tonga Block of The Month.  And it was a blast.....
I just love it when I am told just to have fun.

Thanks Kelly and Marie!
